Soon after the cancellation of “Heartbeat”, the reasons for this decision became known. Verena had been chosen to sing the title song for the 1998 re-release of Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid’ in Germany, “Part Of Your World”, and the record company had chosen to release and promote this song instead. Like “Finally Alone”, “Part Of Your World” is a ballad.

Despite some promotion for the single, the release flopped, failing to enter the German Top 100.
