For the single release,”Can’t Stop Raving” was heavily reworked from the original version found on the ‘DUNE’ album. While the album version contained a sample of Talk Talk’s 1984 hit ‘Dum Dum Girl’, the single version omits this, and includes new verses sung by Tina Lagao.

The single was a huge success, reaching the Top Ten in Germany and the Netherlands. In Germany alone, the single spent nearly 5 months in the Top 100, and was still in the Top 40 when the follow up single “Rainbow To The Stars” was released!

Did you know?

• “Can’t Stop Raving” received a gold certification for selling over 250,000 CD’s in Germany.
• When DUNE invited Tina Lagao to the studio to lay down her vocals for the single version, they had not prepared any lyrics. Oliver wrote the lyrics fifteen minutes before Tina arrived! The line ‘I Can’t Stop Raving’ was provided by Oliver’s niece Janine.
• While Verena was not yet chosen as the group’s singer, she can be seen in the video alongside Anna and Tahiti, the DUNE dancers at that time. The video was shot in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
• In 2002 Mythos ´N DJ Cosmo covered “Can’t Stop Raving” under the title “I Can’t Stop Raving”. This was done with the full support of DUNE, who allowed them to use the original vocal take of Tina Lagao and Janine Kelly.
• In 2005 the DUNE team thought about starting a new project with studio singer Tina Lagao. However, this idea was never realized.
