After the huge success of DUNE’s first self-titled album and its singles, expectations were high for “Rainbow To The Stars”, the first release on their new record label ‘Virgin’. The fans needn’t have worried, as “Rainbow To The Stars” proved to be another sizeable hit for the project.

While the single narrowly missed out on a Top Ten placing in Germany, peaking at number 12 in its third week on the chart, it spent nearly three months in the Top 40 and finished among the Top 100 best-selling singles of 1996 in Germany. It achieved Top Ten positions in the Netherlands and Finland, reached the Top 30 in Switzerland and gave DUNE their first charting single in Sweden.

Did you know?

• The video was shot in South-America, by a beach in Coro/Venezuela for a budget of ±200.000 dollars.
• This was the first single release with the now famous DUNE line-up. From 1996 onwards, Jens decided to take a step back and work as a producer ‘behind the scenes’ with Bernd. Oliver remained as frontman, while dancer Verena von Strenge provided vocals.
