Following on from the disappointing chart performance of both “Keep The Secret” and “Electric Heaven”, DUNE returned in the autumn of 1998 with a new single, “One Of Us”. Recorded in a similar style to “Who Wants To Live Forever”, it served as the lead single for the upcoming “Forever And Ever” album.
Once again, DUNE enlisted the talents of Tina Lagao, who was previously credited on the singles “Are You Ready To Fly” and “Can’t Stop Raving”. Here, she received vocal credits under the name ‘Tina Lacebal’.
Entering the charts at No. 81, the single later peaked at No. 78, spending a total of 8 non-consecutive weeks inside the Top 100.

Did you know?
- The song is a cover of the 1981 ABBA hit, “One Of Us”
- The video was filmed on location in Iceland.
- The single was backed with 3 new instrumental tracks “Black Sands”, “Destination Keflavik” and “Seljalandsfoss, which are unique to this release. ‘Keflavik’ is a town in southwest Iceland, also the location of the country’s international airport, while ‘Seljalandsfoss’ is one of Iceland’s famous waterfalls, located on the south coast. Rumor has it that this 3 B-sides are leftovers from the “5” album project, renamed to suit this release.
