Following another year of silence, DUNE returned in November 1999 with the single “Dark Side Of The Moon” This release brought with it a great surprise for the fans – Verena was back!
Having resolved the issues leading to her departure at the end of 1996, DUNE commenced work with Verena on new material for their upcoming fifth studio album, “Reunion”. Returning firmly to their roots, “Dark Side Of The Moon” leaned more to their earlier happy hardcore material, and once again contained the pitched vocals that characterized their mid-nineties releases.
“Dark Side Of The Moon” charted and peaked at No. 49, spending 3 weeks inside the German Top 100.

Did you know?

• For the first time since ‘Who Wants To Live Forever’, a remix maxi-single was issued for this release. On remix duties for this were Mark ‘Oh, Plug ‘N’ Play and DV. One half of “Plug ‘N’ Play”, Oliver Bensmann, had previously remixed “Can’t Stop Raving” under his ‘Revil O’ pseudonym.


• The video was shot in Lanzarote, a volcanic island belonging to Spain. It was carefully chosen for its moonland-like landscape.


• Despite the major campaign that was launched with the return of Verena, “Dark Side Of The Moon” did not got beyond position 49 in the German charts.
