“Forever And Ever” is the fifth album by DUNE. It was released in November 1998 by Orbit Records. Similar to the first ‘Forever’ album, “Forever And Ever” contains cover songs and original instrumental piano pieces recorded in a classical style with the London Session Orchestra. Recording of the orchestral tracks took place at CTS Studios in London.

For this project, DUNE presented a ‘new’ singer, Tina Lacebal. In reality, fans already knew Tina who had provided vocals for the 1995 hits “Are You Ready To Fly” and “Can’t Stop Raving”, credited as ‘Tina Lagao’ for these releases. However, unlike these two releases, ‘Forever And Ever’ used the natural, unpitched vocals of Tina.

Unfortunately, ‘Forever And Ever’ couldn’t match the success of the preceding “Forever” album, and spent just two weeks in the German Top 100, entering and peaking at No. 70. Only one single was released from the album, “One Of Us” (No. 78), before the project was abandoned.

Did you know?

  • The London Session Orchestra is a pseudonym for the world famous “The London Symphony Orchestra”! But for legal reasons they are not allowed to use this name for such recordings.

  • For the ‘Forever And Ever” album, Tina was credited as ‘Tina Lacebal’. Her real name is Christina Lagao. Christina also sung on the track “Still Waiting For The Summer”, released by Central Bass in 1996 (reissued in 1997). Central Bass was a project of Frank Tomiczek, better known as DJ Hooligan/Da Hool.

  • Similar to their first album, this release contains a hidden track. After the end of track 15, “Here Comes The Flood”, skip forward to the 10 minute mark and you will hear 15 minutes of beautiful piano music.
